We Can Teach You Home Organization Skills
Living an organized life allows clients to focus on what really matters - and we can teach this skill to you. In addition to our professional organizing service, we recently launched Declutter Deck® prompt cards. These easy-to-use decluttering cards, called Declutter Deck®, help transform your life from chaos and clutter to organized and carefree. Guiding you by area and category, Declutter Deck® is 52 self-paced prompt cards that teach you how and what to organize and declutter. The declutter portion of our cards encourage you to reduce what you own by at least twenty percent. The remaining organization cards help you organize the rest. Prompts and projects take less than one hour at a time to complete.
Declutter Deck® prompt cards show you the best way to organize each individual space, and to maintain what you have already organized. Declutter Deck® combines tips from the KonMari Method® with other tried and true, time-effective methods to achieve total home organization. Some Declutter Deck® organization instructions include prompts for decluttering the pantry and kitchen. Others show you how to keep your closet from returning to chaos. Still others explain how to create a home office that works for, not against, you. We recently launched a sister site that offers tips and tricks for many of life’s more challenging situations, as well. Called Hack Decks®, the products reduce the mental clutter it takes to achieve success in transitional situations. Our goal is to help you navigate life in a stress-free way so that you have more time to enjoy and less busywork to do. The products are similar in format to Declutter Deck® and reduce anxiety and overload that occurs in everyday life.

Certified Master KonMari® Home Organizing Consultant
The Uncluttered Life® organizational consultants are specialized in home organization and decluttering. Our owner holds a Certified Master Consultant title in Marie Kondo’s KonMari Method®, a distinction achieved by fewer than 100 professional organizers worldwide. Approximately 50 Master Consultants are available in the United States. Six are in the state of Texas, and of those, only 3 in the Dallas DFW area. There are 500 Marie Kondo Consultants worldwide. Cathy is in the top consultants worldwide with an excess of 3000 hours of organizing.
Our Master Organizer, Cathy, has participated in Marie Kondo’s panel discussions, offering her insight into creative ways to tackle home organization roadblocks. Danica has been featured in publications like Architectural Digest, Real Simple, and The Spruce.

First, The Uncluttered Life® organizational consultants can help declutter in advance of closet or organization space installation. This allows a client to know exactly what he or she has to organize (on their own) more efficiently. Or, secondly, after the closet or space is installed, The Uncluttered Life® works with clients to put everything away and organizes the space to function perfectly. As well as helping clients get their homes in order, whether in-home or on a virtual basis, we also offer our Declutter Deck® which makes organizing on your own a snap! The Declutter Deck® is full of bite-sized nuggets that show you where the "decluttering hot spots” in your home are and how to tackle them. Clutter is just stuff that needs to be eliminated, donated, recycled or put away, reducing visual stimulation. With a simple card that provides easy-to-do instructions, the Declutter Deck® makes de-cluttering and organizing a simple 30-minute task. The cards reduce the overwhelming feeling of not knowing where to start. Originally offered only to our in-home and virtual clients as a thank-you gift for having us into their homes.

One of our workbooks is free of charge, and can get you started decluttering and organizing. Examples of Decluttering and Organizing Work from our Clients
People often ask us which areas in a home we most enjoy organizing. The KonMari Method® encourages tidying by category, not by location, beginning with clothes, then moving on to books, papers, komono (miscellaneous items), and then, sentimental items. We tend to say komono because it is where people get to most of the things in their homes that are displaced. We see that people recognize the biggest differences in their kitchens. Our photo, above, demonstrates that a beautiful kitchen provides a special gathering place for family and can also be functional.
This picture speaks volumes about the benefit of organizing a child’s toys. Little hands need to be able to grab toys and books. They also need to know how to return playthings to their homes when the child is finished. This teaches several lessons. For example, where to anticipate finding a loved toy the next time the child wants it. And there is less chaos looking for favorites. The other lesson it teaches is grouping of like items, helping make sense of the books and toys a child owns. It is easy for the child to see what is new, and a parent can see what has been outgrown or maybe too advanced for the child’s age.
An organized office makes all the difference in the world, whether working from home or having a home office that serves the needs of the family. When space is clear, it helps to keep cortisol levels down. This reduces stress and allows us to think more clearly. Sitting down to a clean desk with adequate and appropriate filing systems and lighting makes work more efficient and professional. No more hunting for pieces of paper, bills, and schoolwork that needs to be returned the following day. An organized workspace increases productivity and professionalism.
One of our favorite organization items at The Uncluttered Life® is the Savor Keepsake Organizer. It’s sold on Amazon and retail stores such as The Container Store®. Using this system regularly and keeping only the most important items from a child’s life helps reduce clutter and remember life’s most cherished moments. Storing sentimental items in this type of filing system allows for expansion as the child grows or as the family takes on new members. You can then display these beautiful linen filing boxes on a shelf for easy access. A must have item!
