The Uncluttered Life® Organizing Team
Meet the Expert Organizers
DANICA
Creator of Declutter Decks®
As a young mother of a little boy, I empathize with the challenges of balancing home organization, meeting children's needs, and maintaining a visually appealing environment. I see friends in similar circumstances struggling with chaos as they juggle work, parenting, laundry, cooking, and constantly tidying up toys. It often feels like there just aren’t enough hours in the day!
Visual Approach
I graduated from UC Berkeley with an interdisciplinary major that merges design, semiotics, media, and communications. This broad perspective enables me to approach organization with a creative and visual mindset.
By blending my experiences from fine art classes with my current focus on organizing interior spaces, I firmly believe that form should complement function in home organization. Our surroundings significantly influence our productivity, happiness, and stress levels. That's why I aim to create organized, visually appealing interiors that are simple to maintain.
I am the creator and designer of The Uncluttered Life’s Declutter Deck® and our newly launched Life Hack Decks®, which help alleviate decision fatigue. These card prompt decks streamline routines and lessen the stress and anxiety many experience in daily life.
On our Hack Deck® site, we offer the Date Deck®, Declutter Deck®, New Mama Deck, Dorm Deck and Random Acts of Kindness Deck. Our goal is to make life less stressful and more productive for those navigating transitional periods.
CATHY
Master Level Organizer in the KonMari Method®
I am a Master Consultant in the KonMari Method®, featured in Marie Kondo’s Netflix series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo and Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo. I also apply techniques from Marie Kondo’s books, including The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, Spark Joy, and Joy At Work. My training was completed with KonMari in Los Angeles in 2019, and I served as a panelist during KonMari’s November 2020 Virtual Certification Course, sharing my insights to assist others.
While I hold the title of a Certified Master, I view it as just one element of my holistic and comprehensive approach to decluttering and organizing. To me, organization is a systematic method to simplify life, reduce waste, and save both time and money.
With over twenty years of experience organizing people’s homes, I’ve encountered a wide variety of situations. Don’t hesitate or feel embarrassed to reach out for help! There’s absolutely no judgment here!
Medical Paperwork
I have extensive training in medical paperwork, backed by multiple graduate-level degrees in Patient Advocacy and Health Policy and Law from UCSF. Additionally, I have received training from HICAP, a part of the national network of State Health Insurance Assist Programs (SHIP), renowned for providing unbiased and accurate Medicare-related information. Consequently, I excel in assisting the senior population, including Medicare beneficiaries and their families. My expertise is particularly beneficial for those downsizing or caring for an elderly parent. I can also assist with medical billing paperwork and the confusion it often brings to seniors.
